Pornhub OnlyFans and Meta Join New Sextortion Prevention Platform

This is actually pretty cool. The new service will allow a teenager (or anyone) that shared a nude image with someone who later posted it without their permission, to start the takedown process without having to send the sensitive image anywhere. They use the software to create a hash of the image and the hash is uploaded to a database run by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Those hashes are then shared with participating social media to allow them to take the images down. The initiative is called “Take It Down”. Credit: Motherboard by Vice

The Musk-eteer Loses Thousands of Schematics to Hacker

Actually it was a contractor to Space-X who makes parts for Musk. Hackers claim to have stolen 3,000 schematics. Of course, you should not trust what hackers say. Still, if it is true, one of two things happens. Musk pays the ransom or the hackers sell the schematics to an interested party – say China or North Korea. While the feds may not be too happy about all this since SpaceX launches rockets for the gov, if the hackers are in Russia, there may not be a lot they can do about it. The hackers should avoid taking foreign vacations. Credit: The Register

Hacked Russian TV Warns of Nuclear Attack

Hacked Russian TV and radio stations broadcast startling messages of a nuclear attack and urged residents to put on gas masks and run for cover. Russians were told to take potassium iodide pills and take shelter immediately. The hacked broadcast sounded real and even had a black and yellow nuclear warning sign. The messages were broadcast around Moscow, Sverdlovsk and other cities. The emergency ministry had to put out a statement assuring people that a false air raid alert was broadcast after TV and radio stations were hacked.
