700Credit may be learning the hard way that loose security practices have
consequences. In an interview, they, trying to be transparent, admitted to a couple of serious
cybersecurity lapses, which I suspect will be used against them in the likely class action. If you
were in their situation, would your security practices hold up? If you don’t know, it might be time
to do an enterprise risk assessment. Contact us for details.

When is four hours not quick enough? According to the timeline from the Asahi cyber attack,
they detected the attack at 0700 JST. Within four hours they initiated network isolation
protocols. But, by that time, the proverbial cat was out of the bag and it took them two months
just to contain the damage. You need to be able to detect and respond in minutes, worst case,
in seconds, best case. People say that isolation will disrupt the business. Would you rather
spend months of downtime and millions in legal fees? If you cannot disrupt an in progress
attack in minutes you have lost the battle. And the war. If you need assistance in implementing
this, please contact us.
