Only 8% of C-Suite Execs use MFA for a Majority of Apps and Devices
Executives are a prime target for hackers. The reason for this is that execs have access to the most sensitive information – finance, mergers, contracts, personnel, performance, patents, etc. They also, apparently, don’t follow best practices for security.
Security company BlackCloak said that 27% of executives have open ports on their home networks, 20% have open security cameras.
In addition, 27% of execs personal devices contain malware, 76% of their personal devices are actively leaking data and 87% of executives personal devices have no security software installed.
But possibly the most concerning is that only 8% of executives have multi-factor authentication across a majority of their apps and devices. 87% have passwords that are on the dark web.
Open Source Intelligence analysts say that it is common to find personal information like private phone numbers, email, pictures of ID badges and other information.
