Newest Software as a Service App
Want to know what the most in demand skill is on the underground job boards?
English language social engineering. The ads on the boards doubled between last year and this year.
One security CEO calls this Impersonation as a service or IaaS, not to be confused with the other IaaS, Infrastructure as a service.
You take one SaaS app from column A, one from column B and two from column C. For example, SaaS tools, SaaS training, SaaS scripts, SaaS exploits. All you need to do is integrate these tools.
AND, if you start with SaaS coaching, the coach will tell you which SaaS tools to use, where to get the best SaaS training, which SaaS scripts to use. You get the idea.
The ShinyHunters/Scattered Spider lovefest that is knocking over Salesforce customers right and left is an example of this. You don’t really need to develop anything other than the English speaking social engineer. That you can also “buy” online.
One more service to add here. AI. AI gives superpowers to these hackers.
The other Software as a Service is the soft squishy one – people – other hackers. The crooks are collaborating with each other and with AI. They are also learning from the govvies – government cybersecurity experts. They are learning what the govvies are using to do surveillance, what software the govvies use, what their target company’s employees, mission and values are from watching the govvies’ surveillance techniques are. You get the idea.
So, basically, impersonation as a service is a job for a system integrator. Those can be found on the underground job boards also. but if you use the Coaching as a Service, pretty much anyone can be a systems integrator.
Isn’t this all very special.
