White House Releases National Cybersecurity Strategy Implementation Plan

Earlier this year the White House released the National Cybersecurity Strategy. It is built on five pillars: defend critical infrastructure, disrupt and dismantle threat actors, shape market forces to drive security and resilience, invest in a resilient future and forge international partnerships to pursue shared goals. The strategy is almost 40 pages with a lot of detail. Now you have to implement it. Detractors are going to say that it has been 90 days, why is it not done. On the other hand, the current administration has done more for cyber than any past administration ever.

Last week the White House released the National Cybersecurity Strategy Implementation Plan. The implementation plan covers 60 pages. The plan addresses each objective of the strategy and assigns multiple tasks to specific agencies.

While this is not going to solve the problem any time soon, it is at least a start and moves us in the right direction.

It is likely that many of the tasks are suitable for your organization.
