25 Cyber Orgs Sign Secure by Design AI Agreement
While basically unenforceable, the agreement is a starting point. The US, UK and 23 domestic and international cybersecurity organizations, representing more than a dozen countries, signed on to the Guidelines for Secure AI Development.
The Guidelines, complementing the U.S. Voluntary Commitments on Ensuring Safe, Secure, and Trustworthy AI, provide essential recommendations for AI system development and emphasize the importance of adhering to Secure by Design principles.
These guidelines provide both suggestions and mitigations for data scientists, developers, managers, decision makers and risk owners to help them make informed decisions about secure design, development, deployment and other aspects of their tools.
These agreements build on CISA’s existing AI guidance.
